James... a few questions?
1 - What is the beam on the Venom?
2 - What is the distance from the C\L of the Venom to the C\L of your driver's seat?

Question for the SRV Guys?

do they have any tendency to roll into the wind at speed?
if so...what speed (s)?

kens srv likes to roll at 108 then accelerates on its side to achieve 111MPH... i'm sure that has changed now that he lifted the motor more.. if you can get over the feeling of death i'm sure it would keep on going. lol

correct me if im wrong Kenny..

Did you find the tendency for the boat to lay over decreased when you lifted the motor?
I've always found that bringing the prop shaft up will push the speed where the boat starts to fold over.

She still lay down to the right but now it's @111 …When that happens I have to put my upper body as far left as I can go.
It looks like I'm running a oval race sled into a corner but I'm actually trying to go straight
Besides having about 1.5" of play in my steering  because of a worn out tilt steering… it is like a CV joint that is sloppy
a ugly gear case with a scary skeg and not the best balance in the boat, she still is fucking scary fun… But stupid !

I've had a little experience balllasting a go fast boat.

It really depends the specific boat and I can attest with absolute conviction the same two model boats with the same rigging and driver will need to be balanced differently.

In general add weight to the rear centre to make weight limits , add weight ahead of of CG to affect boat handling as trying to do it at the rear requires too much weight. It's all about leverage. If adding weight to affect handling is slowing you down your doing it wrong.

James we'll spend some time at the cottage in the spring and we'll have it dialled in in a afternoon.

Buy yourself 1lb, 2lb and 5lb soft weight bags and some of our special secret adhesion strips. Dial it in then we'll create a permanent mount so the weight can be removed or changed easily.

Cost beer! We'll actually I need some help building a dock this summer :)
