so i have 3 wires to hook up what goes where,, red,, blue and a green. and dont know what wires go where on the yamaha wiring harness :?

I assume this is a trim on wheel switch and you are going to connect into the wiring in your control box or do you plan to hack away at the wiring in your harness? Let me know if this is the case as I did mine last year.

Location: Lapping lil charger
There is a sub-harness with those wire colours coming out of your control box (as Dubber eluded to)....plug them in there and trim away.

what colours are the trim wires on the yamaha? and do i have to take the control box apart? or just plug into existing connectors?

does the red wire from the switch go to the yellow wire on the control box?

yes trim on the wheel i would rather not hack it apart if possible.. :) but will if necessary

There should be three wires of the same colour coming out of the box...if not open the box and tap in to the wires that go to the handle switch. Red - 12V, Blue (sky) - up, Green (grass) - down....

ill have to splice into the box,, i can see the blue pink and gree on the switch on the motor but there isnt a blur or light green on the control box,, yellow green and black are pluged in,, pink black and yellow are open...
