In the video you will hear the rpm's drop and come back and the boat fall.

http://vimeo.com/95821134

While I'm driving I can't hear the motor change rpm so it thought it could be the boat.

Does this with the hood off too.

Maybe the motor needs to go up because the case is trying to plane forcing the nose down?

Maybe there's somthing casing the motor to drop rpm?

Any thoughts ?

Check the transom (Flat black 80's boat thing)
Sounds like it's just the boat trying to blow over ;)

Is the setup the same as last year?

with in 1 mph of last year anyway. it was more falling on its side last year i though it was balance. but im thinking now that the balance is better its just falling more flat.

same motor, same amount of set back, same prop. does this with the Bravo too at 109 .. lol

boat just sits there at 105 loving life.. its up there in rpm... for a yamaha its like 6800... maybe the powerband is like a Yz125 and it ends suddenly ? maybe i need to put 1.62 gears in it to have more consistent power at that speed?

I think Rick and I were talking about this subject last year but I've always found that when my boat starts to lay over at top end, engine height was the cure. It also lets me run with a little less trim

I am no good at testing and have no patience so I always go a 1/4" at a time.

Small lol...that's the bitch of the whole thing isn't it. Raise the motor until the boat turns around then drop it an 1/8th lol.

Looks almost like its porpoising up top...it's hard to tell what comes first the rpm drop or the bounce. Are you still using the Sharpie Monster Guages?? That motor may not like to turn 7000...I know mine doesn't.

monster sharpies with a hillbill drag racing cluster with a yamaha tach and water pressure. i replace the tach from last year with another yamaha one.

when does yours loose power? i put Daves 26 ET on and was practicing launching it would pin the gauge waaay past 7k couldnt tell where the power ended... prob cuz the prop was so small.
