Is there a discount OEM Yamaha Outboard parts store other the the dealers in Canada? Just had my ECM replaced on a Yamaha 2004 F115HP and was charged $1497 just for the part. Would like to price out a new one to keep the dealer honest. Must be a place in Ontario you can buy from other then the dealer.

I used to buy Yamaha parts from boats.net but with the dollar where it's at it's not worth it anymore. Central Outboard is five minutes away from me and they have been very good with the parts. Still not cheap but the parts guy Kim is very efficient and always gets me the right parts in a timely fashion!

I haven't found any Canadian sites for factory Yamaha parts, please let us know if you do!

Boats.net has that part discounted to $982.00 USD + shipping so your dealer is likely charging you Yamaha's regular retail price. I just did the same job and it was about the same...at least the labour is cheap. We just did an ECM on a 150 verado that stuck itself in reverse (which is a fun ride around the dock BTW) and it was more in the $6k neighbourhood...so...buying ECM's sucks but it coulda sucked worse lol.
