My assumption is that the motor length is constant. Probably a big block would add a few inches. Does a swing trailer save 2 feet? I could check my Baja trailer next time I am up to the cottage.

It saves 2 feet if your Tonge is 2 feet! :D

It only saves as much as it is long less about 6" or so for mounting it. I put one on last spring to make some more room. Hold your breath as you cut through your trailer hopefully straight lol

My 2.6L adds about 2 feet to the length. I have measured to try and figure out what I could fit in the garage.

Just to demonstrate too much time on my hands on a Sunday afternoon:

Tuff 20'8" + 18" setback = 22' 2"
SV 20'4" + 10" setback = 21' 2"
SS 18'9" + 8" setback = 19' 5" = longest possible without a swing trailer

The Tuff is a lot wider than the SV, so the size difference is bigger than just the length shows.

The SS is a pretty small 20' boat. The SRV w/Laser deck is just idle thought. Replacing my Baja would improve my quality of life more than replacing my Allison.

I have thought about this too because I keep my trailer queen in my garage all the time. The lengths above you must not be factoring in the length of a fully trimmed down motor. You need to factor this as well. In my garage I could squeeze in around 23'6". plus even eith a swing Tonge most trailers will still have something jettison out the front I find.

It would all be resolved for me if my wife would only let me put a hole in the back wall into our living room.

What are you waiting for?
Just do it, she'll get over it eventually.

So true. I could just leave the battery hooked up while in the garage and let my daughters play with the trim. It couldn't possibly be my fault then when the motor punches through the wall right? Lol
