The two boats are made from the SAME molds!
The only difference is the company that built the boats.
The FIRST boats were built in FLORIDA....THEY ARE NOT A RAPID CRAFT!
These are heavier and built for SSV class with 950lb minimum weight

The last APBA EP weight was 840 lbs minimum

When SSV died they changed the name to 60 racer

The RAPID CRAFT BOAT boat was built for Baker Marine Support,,,it is called a Cyclone...it is the race boat
Rapid Craft also had a River Racer model...https://www.collectorboats.com/s/cc_ima ... 1362975862
The Cyclone was built to run in FV, a class that had different minimum weights depending on the size of the motor.
The boat could come with a canopy and weigh approximately 225 lbs.....it is ALL composite material.

Hope that clears up the question:
Can you tell them apart from a distance....NO
And yes most still call all of them Rapid Crafts
And yes they are all GOOD well built boats....VERY STRAIGHT
With a clock start there would be little difference running either hull in T850
Scott Whittington's Florida SSV weighed 724 lb WITHOUT SCOTT IN THE BOAT
Yet he won every T850 heat he raced if he got the lead at the start.
AND he terrified DOC everytime Scott was running behind him

Scott never wanted to admit he needed glasses.
Imagine how many number one starts he would have got had he been able to see the start Clock!
Scott was the only one with a radio to spotter in the class.
