There are some small in land lakes with boat launches on them being Chesley Lake, Williams Lake, and McCollough Lake. I have never been on Williams before and McCollough only as a kid. No good knowledge of the Lakes. Chesley Lake I have been out on in the past couple of years and gets busy on summer weekends but is likely quiet on week nights. There is a real bad shoal at the boat launch that you need to veer away from and the launch is privately owned so you have to check in at the camp before using it - they can point out the shoal and other trouble spots. All these lakes are about 20 minutes from Owen Sound.
