Nice collection! Gotta love that Yammy power!

Umm, no! Lol, i dont own the Virage, my buddy Matt bought it from Dave, i bought the AE21 from him, he wanted a boat already done, after he decided he didn't want to do stringers and floors , and felt safer in that with a wife and small kids. So it all works out fine, the 2 streams are staying in the neighbohood, and Dave just got his Talon back from Ronny, and has the 300xs hanging, just needs to find time to rig it. The AE will have Merc power, i just dropped a bridgeport block of mine , off for Dave to inspect, he's got my sporty that needs refreshed, and i'm pretty sure he'll be trying to sell me one of his 260's , over the winter, lol, i also have the 2.4 200 powerhead that Dave built , and ran high 80's on Shanes V-king.ImageImage

full machine shop with Mercury tooling,I've had several V6 mercs bored/ honed, sleeved by Dave, never any issues,he's very meticulous in his assemblies,he machines every make/model,,but he also has the special tooling for the older merc motors, like blind bore inline 6's and stuff. He's usually so busy with his walk in customer and boat/motor sales in summer, and builds motors all winter. I just dropped off a bridgeport block this week for inspection.

Been going thru some of the paperwork that came with the AE21, it was stolen in Qc., in 2000,and recovered in hawkesbury ,Ont.,within days with no outboard, was towed to an impound yard, by OPP, i have papers showing that they released the boat to the owner, but he didn't want it, and signed it off to his brother. His brother didn't want it, and sold it to another guy, and the OPP paperwork states that the impound yard can release the boat to the third guy. The boat then goes back to Gatineau Qc., as is with no motor. Then there is a receipt, from a marina ,in Ottawa, for a used Johnson 200 GT outboard, purchased in 2000, for $5k, the guy I bought it from said he paid $7k for it with a 200GT still on it and ran 87mph,blew it up after a couple years ,and bought a 225 yam for it, while de rigging the GT, discovered the rotted rear deck and stringers. Parked the boat in his shop and decided to buy Daves already done Virage, and rigged it with his Yam, that's when i found out about the AE-21 just sitting at his place, only 20 minutes from my home. So, looks like the boat has been in the Ottawa area(registered on Qc.,side of the river) since at least 1999ish.
