So this was new to me anyway... During first run or the T-Cat/Merc 60 last week we noticed water outflow wasn't good. No problem I thought, I'll replace the impeller. On inspection the impeller looked OK but since I had a new one I put it in along with new gaskets. Launched the boat today and still had poor flow, Hmmm? So there I am standing waste deep in water checking things while trying not to drop tools, bolts etc in said water. Thermostat seems OK, better remove brass fitting into water jacket to see what's up... lots of water flow. OK, we have a blockage but where? Check outlet hose and it hasn't deteriorated, better disconnect and check anyway and sure enough It was blocked. Spider or something musta gotten in there. Blew it out with compressed air and the motor's peeing like a race horse. Glad we caught that one. Memo to self for winter storage... Big piece of blue tape over water outlet hole.
