I was reading the Doc's remark that Ted's 21 Tuff is only a high 90's boat now, used to run 100+ If it ran 102 before and 98 now, that would be about 8% less power, assuming a simple square relationship. Is it normal for motors (not 2.5's of course) to get weaker over time? The last time I had a GPS on my brother's Charger it had over 700 hours on it and it still went 73, same as ever. Of course some people who never keep anything more than a year won't be able to answer this. |

Well my old 225 always ran the same...and it's got HUGE hours on it. We don't use our boats enough to time them out..... I think Ted had a failure and the replacement powerhead wasn't as strong as his original... |
