I've been toying with the idea of redoing my hull this spring. I want to change my look:)
I would love to go all out and just gelcoat the hull. I have never sprayed Gel before and quite frankley it looks rather intimidating.
How durable is a good marine epoxy primer/paint finish?
Can I still get away with beaching the boat a couple times a season?

Any input as far as what products to use?
I've sprayed Epifanes one part enamel in the past and was suprised how well it thinned out and layed flat but I'd like something a little tougher for this project.
I know Awlgrip has a good reputation. What about Interlux products?

While my Emron is durable in water it does not like the beach.. between west lake and Finger Fest it was showing the effect of beach.

That was hilarious....fuuuck...Mike just shakes his head when I bring that up.

P@ - Gel is way too much work and Imron isn't all that tough and will eventually bubble if its left in the water. I've heard good things about awlgrip...and that's the direction I'd be researching..

I was looking into paint the entire hull high gloss black so I don't think vinyl is the way to go for this project.
I didn't get the idea until after I put the boat to bed though. Not really sure I want to spend next spring playing in the driveway instead of the water.

Personally, I would look into viny graphics or paint on the top and leave the hull white Patrick. That boat is beautiful. I may be biased in judging hydrostreams though.

I get a lot of mixed reviews on this thing and what to do with it colourwise.
I like the all white deck... when it's clean.
The hull isn't perfect and I hate trying to keep the underside from looking yellow.
I did this high quality photoshop job just to get an idea of what it would look like.
I dig it more then I thought I would.

Here's a better idea (obviously adding the windshield and 260...but...):
