Where do you buy it? Online?

How much does it cost for a boat on average?

What do you glue it down with?

Does is totally and completely suck?

Talk to Rick, that's where it comes from.

may challenger was under $300

i used water proof outdoor glue from home depot i went light on the glue.

its not horrible but you only have one chance to get the cut right.... so Measure it 100,000 times.

Very seriously considering this. What kind of paint do we use for this?

Not sure if it works for you Mitchie....I wouldn't call it pet friendly from a traction point of view when the boat is moving.

Ya you want carpet...it's the removal of the old stuff that sucks...the install isn't so bad.

What about a bare floor with snap in floor mats. I always loved that....

When I redid the GT I went to my local flooring place and told them what I was doing. No way I was paying premium price for "marine grade" carpet. I ended up buying a tight weave outdoor carpet that they sell for using on outdoor surfaces - i.e. poolside, decks, etc... The guy at the store told me not to buy any outdoor carpet that had the rubber type backing on it, because that is what rots when it gets wet.

While I was there I picked up a gallon can of their recommended adhesive. The install was actually pretty easy. The carpet cut well and didn't lose shape. Managed to do the entire interior in one solid piece except for the two kickplates under the deck at the front. I started at the back and worked my way forward making sure to get everthing pulled tight as I went. Just had to make sure the garage doors were all open and the fan was on, because the adhesive was pretty bad and even still had me high as a kite when I was done.

On the roll it was 12ft wide. Bought a 12ft length. Was more than enough to do the floor and extras around the seats...etc... Carpet and adhesive ran me just shy of $200. The carpet has been in the boat for 2 years and still looks like new.

my red carpet in my ae-21 is 3 or 4 years old and already fading, keep thinking of gel coat with silicone balls in it for traction, carpet is nice for passengers and on the feet, but every frigging day you are vacuming the sand and water out of it. I guess my answer is , have it, dont really like it, and making due for now LOL
