oooooooooohhhh, my poor old yamaha's been getting it rough these days :( :lol: :mrgreen:

and as for this merc i lost that stupid piece of plastic that holds the throttle and shift cables on the motor :roll: .,, what a cruel sick joke :lol: ;)

Im having trouble with my hot foot.. :? the throttle linkage on the motor moves freely, the cable glides nice and smooth, hot foot seems to function normally when its not hooked up, as soon as i hook up the foot too the cable and the cable too the linkage, everything goes too hell... when i mash the throttle it sticks wfo.. and seems to have alot of drag.

Need to tighten up or make up new bushings and spacers...it's worn out...I had the same issue with one, as soon as the cable is added it adds some tension and things bind up when you push on the petal

fixed it, :D , added a shim and some grease..

we now have working starter, trim , enrichment valve :D it shifts and has throttle.. all i need now is a lower unit , a battery and to button down a gas tank and im ready for a shake down splash. :lol:
