Okay guys.
What's out there?
I have a need to get itchy again and restore an old rotten boat.
Looking for something inexpensive, frugal, cost effective.......
Okay, I'll say it...........CHEAP!!!!!
Let's get a list going of available, attainable boats that need a new core, transom, gelcoat, etc.

I'm looking for something in the 18 to 20 foot range, V or tunnel**, damaged or rotten.
I'm not looking for something that is usable as is.

If I don't find something soon I am going to start another home renovation project!!!!

HELP ME!!! Don't let that happen!!! :)

There is a mod vp, light layup HST on S&F for $3000 no rigging, I know this is not what you were probably thinking price wise, but its would be a really rare fast boat, the guy says he has the racing history, those hulls were supposed to be just over 600 lbs. What about the 87 18' Talon on here? that looks to be a great deal/ boat.

Sweet pea is for sale.
Crack in the pad apparently, needs stringers and a floor according to the current owner.

No brainer.. Buy the Talon! It's perfect for Surgeon and and a fairly easy/cheap fix. If I didn't have the yellow one still, I'd be all over it. Bottom line.. my yellow one's still a better whore lure.. ;)

Agreed....on all points lol.

The nice thing about the Talon is that it's in nice shape to start with. I know Spaeth has the well delete mold for the 21 which is very close to the 18 in that area I believe. I used it when we did my brother's 21...

Some good leads here guys.
Matt's Talon has been teasing me since he posted it!!
The problem I have with it is it's in to good a shape.
Someone looking for a light project should be grabbing this at the price he is asking.
Matt is a great guy with whom I'm sure a great deal could be cut.
I haven't written it off yet but it is more than I want to spend as it is more complete than what I am looking for.

Keep them coming. Ask your friends about that old boat covered in leaves in the backyard with no interior, a rotten floor, chaulky gel and is sitting full of green water.

There has to be more than the Talon and Sweet Pea out there.

I want a "rescue" boat not a boat that needs some gentle loving.

Although I do like red................... :)
