Steve did you guys have to refuel during the run?
Is there a rule as to the size of gas tank or must each boat follow the rules for their individual class? T's can have a 5 gallon fuel tank. The T850 Yamahas would not have a problem. The OMC's close and a 650XS, their refueling on route for sure. All the T750 boats would not need to refuel.

You can't refuel on route... gotta take it with you. Graham had a fuel size issue when he ran... he took two tanks, when one ran out, he switched.

There is no limit to how much fuel you can take, unless you guys have rules that state otherwise.

correct, no refueling. Some bring two tanks and stop and switch, other have a larger tank. We have an ~8 gallon tank. Why are Ts limited to a 5 gallon tank?

In the current T rules that is the fuel tank rule.
This would be a special event, so T could run any size tank.
I think a long course prop would help>

From the other Top'O thread:
Ok, I've done Sun course 3x so far. Takes 8 min beach to river, 6min on river, 10min around lake, 6 back down, 8 to beach. Hmmm, prop selection; I'm thinking long course given only 10 of 40min on river, has some straights, also tall prop keep rpm down a bit.
