I had the opportunity to attend the TORC racing school in Waterford with my son Josh.

What a great day. I arrived around 12:15 and Andrew was ready, with pamphlets and material for the students.

We did about 45 min of class then went to the waterfront to size the safety equipment for each of us.

A coach was assigned to each student to provide instruction and feedback.

We had a initial lap as a warm up for each student and your assigned coach told you what your did well and what you might want to try to get then most out of the boat.

We then got to do 3 laps simulating a race once boat at a time flags and all.

Finally you got to race your coach to get the feel of another boat on the course and get a little bit of a feel of how competitive these boats are.

Josh and I want to thank all the people who volunteered their equipment, time and energy hosting us yesterday.

Josh is pumped and I had a fantastic time sharing the experience the at the TORC racing school.

I'd forget too may people to say the names, but everyone was friendly, helpful and made our first time in a super stock hydro a riot!

It was the first time TORC ran the school and it can onl get better. If you've never been in a hydro or ran 100 mph lake rockets you'll have a riot.

That's great to hear Dave. You will meet the nicest, most helpful guys in boating at a TORC event. Anyone with an interst should try to make it out to an event...it's VERY hard not to get hooked.
