Jake sure had a great weekend winning T750 both days and T850 both days. Both wins have to have been special. The T750 was his boats first race and in T850 Jake raced the smallest motor in the class a 49 Stinger!

Don; -was that the 497 powerhead you got from me ??
-sorry I missed D'V.

It would be great if we could get a few Ts to Crystal Lake in SEP,
so they could see them. That race is dual sanctioned and pits
would work well for both groups .
We could then look fwd to a five race Can-Am Series,
in the future.
-just sayin'......

No, but it is exactly the same block. 1976 497. Most racers who have run the 1976 block will tell you that it is a little better ported than the other year 497s. Racers will also tell you that they messed up their motor by trying to improve the stock porting. The stock porting is almost perfect in providing a good balance of torque with high rpm. Jake lucked out getting this untouched block. The other factor is the crank shaft. It is the combination of the two that has to be close to perfect in order to have a top motor. Jake has both.
