To those interested , why not come to the TORC AGM and see if you can get an event up and running.

Hull and motor classes

Or follow the Drag motor rules for each of the three existing classes in Drag and then allow a separate recording and winner for Formula Tunnel Hull , Formula VEE Bottom , Lake Racer Tunnel Hull , Lake Racer VEE Bottom and the big dog Outlaw Tunnel and Outlaw VEE Bottom

It won't happen if you don't try to get it going.

There would be too many variables with that game for a given day that is out of our control... the big one is wind
Jason will tell us about the liabilities... insurance ... Too much room for severe injury or death
800' drags is a little safer for a lot boats.

Not true. . . they have KILO runs all the time in all forms of boat racing.
Sail , Champ , F1 , Offshore , all of the roundy round classes etc etc.
you run what you feel you can run for that given day and conditions. There'd be safety boats , rescue , ambulance , closed proper race course etc etc.
there's injury and yes death in all forms of racing ... you can die in a T Boat or in a 200mph offshore and everything in between
Better than on the lake on your own Ken running 114 don't ya think

I'm surprised there isn't any interest in some one getting an event set up so something official is actually set in stone ( instead of the usual internet speed talk )
Does no one want to head this up ?

Could be pretty basic in getting a set of rules done up.

????

Seems that most guys already know what kind of top end #'s their boats are capable of running. Not sure all the work, time and DOUGH are worth it if the GPS is just going to tell the same story.
