Good turn out to-day. Lots of input from the Drag group. I am sure Jeff will be up dating you on it. As for T related news, there are no items just for T. All classes were reminded to get your TORC fees in before the cost increases. Check the TORC site for the awards luncheon info. We were also reminded to get our CBF memberships. For those racers who are both a racer and an inspector you must have both shown on your membership. The low Canadian dollar is expected to see more American racers attend our races. Boat counts are expected to increase and elimination heats are possible in SO. The extra boats are nice to have however it will make the race schedule a challenge. Small entry classes will need to be grouped and some will be eliminated if necessary. Last minute entries will NOT be allowed. READ that again! T along with every other class has to have all the paper work ready and done in advance. The day schedule has not been set for 2016. Drag mentioned they would like to run mid day.
I jumped at the opportunity to say T welcomes the opportunity to run first every day and T would be ready to start at the exact start time set in the schedule. Drag then had second thoughts and the schedule has to be confirmed. TORC executive has been working hard.
They are working on getting new equipment and Rob even purchased a larger trailer so he can carry many items in the trailer that were previously in the patrol safety boat. It is most important that T has representation at next years CBF convention . We will work on that this summer.
T Party...2016... Are we having one?.

To clarify
I originally proposed the idea of having Drag run mid day due to the logistics of getting drag boats to the ramp etc etc. . . It was then TOLD to me that Drag would be running at the end of the day, each day at each event "if time permits" . . .

WE NEED EVERYONE TO JOIN!!
It's 35$. Get off your wallet!! (this isn't directed at you Pete)
This comes down to a numbers game people.
There is enough time in the program for S/O, T & Drag to race but it seems the current TORC exec is only interested in pushing drags out the back door. It comes down to votes.
If there is enough representation & member support for drags the results will be very different!!

Wait, isn't it $105? $35 to TORC and $70 to CBF? When I asked for clarification on this on another thread, this was how I understood it.

Yes in order to race you need to register with CBF (3 forms + $70) and become a TORC member (1 form + $35).

Northbase is right... We need to have a stronger negotiating position by establishing the bare minimum. If we want to play and have a vote, dues must be paid asap. Before the Jan 23 meeting is ideal.

If anyone that wants to race is having issues with the forms or what and who to pay message me.

100% correct!! For everyone in all classes. You must have a 2016 membership card. The next step is to have your class members at the TORC meeting. There they can table suggestions to be voted on, The more people you have there the better your chance for approval.

I am going to join even if I can't race this year just to help the cause. Is there a booth at the boat show that I could drop in to join ?
