I've wanted to leave my 69 Lotus at the cottage for a summer for years. This year my street at home is being repaved and my home garage will be blocked for months. So I drove the old car up on Friday night, thankfully without incident. Unless you count being left for standing still on a back road by a Nissan GTR.

We even got both my boat trailers, my brother's 'cottage' motorcycle, and my Lotus into the garage. It required 3 of us to slide the boat trailers sideways instead of rolling them in place. So I won't be trailering much, as if I ever did.

Windy days on Cooch now means winding roads.

Saw a Lotus heading up 115 on Friday night. Was it you?
If not we better all be careful, it's the attack of the Lotus!
Oops, just checked my pocket bible, Locust we have to worry about. :)

I wasn't near 115.

Truthfully, it's and old slow car. 118 HP, and that's probably a bit optimistic given how they rated HP in the 60's. I was thinking again about the GTR today. For me the equivalent of the GTR blowing by would be passing a 1920's MG or Bentley. I'd slow down to look.
