Suggestion: Get a 55 hp Yamaha small gear case. You only need to make a adaptor for the difference in the drive shafts. The lower unit bolts right on. Big improvement over the large case.

The five inch extension for the 90 hp 2 stroke has both male and female ends. You cut the 55 hp drive shaft to the correct length and modify the female end for the smaller drive shaft on the 55 hp. The extension can be reused should the lower unit need replacing.

I'm starting to blush from unabashed compulsive T boat hoarding on 6ML,... it's like a Sharknado vortex sucking the province dry.
Fer Chrissake, there are 7 T boats within .5km radius of my cottage. Another 6 if we go to 1km,...just keeps going.
PS: my neighbor's cottage for sale,...hoping dearly a boating/skiing carbon burning 2 stroke gearhead buys it. I'm screwed if it's a do-good tree hugger; strolling around my property naked waving at prospective buyers last 2 years has not encouraged offers.
