Decided to sell my Sidewinder engine. 1987 150 XR2 (2.0L) Selling because I blew up the lower unit and don't plan on repairing. Have another engine I will be putting on it so this needs to go. The powerhead: 85 hours on it since rebuild in 2010 (honed/rings/bearings/gaskets) Oil injection removed. Compression 120 on all six. Always mixed 45:1 with premium+ only and fresh fuel or 91shell if sitting for a couple weeks. Properly broken in for full 10 hours Runs great and starts really easy. Never taken past 6000rpm since rebuild Have 2 cowlings - blacked out hood with louvers and original xr2 one The mid: Properly drilled mid that won't crack - same as the merc bass mid Removed exhast liner (can) "Sounds like a 260" My neighbours hate it but that only makes me love it more Powerhead - $1700 with drilled mid - $2200 Old video but its a youtube classic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DleIcwsJpD0 |
