One thing to keep in mind with a nydahl it that they have no detent. This may or may not be an issue for you. I can tell you that with my shifter I made it was an issue, so I had to make one. I think If I were to buy a shifter I would get a Rex style or an incontrol(not likely because I am cheap.) They are all hard as shit to fine new.
p.s. Not trying to be a no it all.... You probably know more than me... lol.

It probably won't happen soon enough for you, but I am designing/fabricating shifters.
I based them on a simple K & S design, similar to Nydahl, with friction detent, not positive detent.
It worked great in my Seebold.
As soon as I get some made I will be posting.

I am debating between cast and billet right now for fabrication.
It all affects price.

Mitch, thanks for the input, i wont know if it needs a detent till it pops out lol, i figured i could even use a pin that removes easy to lock it, its for my delta, i have seached for Rex style or In Control but have not came up with finding any pics, as ive thought abut making my own aswell,

K & S shifter from the Seebold

Image

My design (below) is a little different but the principle is the same.
It just follows the K.I.S.S. method of fabrication!!
This design is a side mounted unit.

AS far as when........as soon as Mrs. Rowboat doesn't want any more renovations done!! ;)

that looks cool, i need floor mount,if i dont find one for my cheapo price, i may end up doing crude ,a piece of angle and flatbar with a bolt throught it no bushing and tighten the bolt for tension saw a homeaide sidemount on dillion racing just buying could be easier/quicker :)

Floor mount bracket would be easy to make for the existing design.
It would just require another piece of angle machined to match the mounting holes.
I am also designing a floor mount as well as a flush mount.

My issue is time right now!!
As soon as I have some made I will post pic.'s.

Wildcatt - maybe you could be my test boat!!
Of course that would mean I have to go along for the ride. :D

That looks alot like mine I made.... But yours will probably be nicer when you get popping them out. I made a threaded hole in the pivot area and an open hole undernead so I can turn a know 2 turns and that basically locks it in gear. It's crude.. But I made it from scrap under my bench and it works.
