yeah everyone convinced me to go with a coned lower instead. mainly for its handling qualitys. the boat should be more stable with the longer case and shinewalk less witch should bring a bit more speed. I actually just found one last night on the other site and I'll be trying it out on the guys boat in may before buying it.

I also just got my srx back from DAH and man does it look sweet! Hoping the boat will run consistent low 90's this summer. I'll be on the edge for this boat so i'll stop improving on my setup once I reach this goal.

Nooooo you wooon't! lol
I think my 1st goal was 65mpg

Would you consider having the CLE coned? That will give you the best of both worlds having the HD internals, stronger case and lot's of skeg to worth with.

lol I said the same when I was at 75...I cant wait to see how it handles

I've considered having the CLE coned...but instead I baught a coned lower with hd internals. The only thing I'm loosing is the big skeg..witch I know is alot, but it was a 300$ upgrade vs a 5-600$ upgrade for a coned CLE..with the shipping and all..

I'm interested to hear if there is much top end difference. I would have thought that the CLE would allow you run the case much higher on a tunnel without blowing out due to the larger skeg (area and depth). V-bottoms are a totally different ball game as the rely a little more on the prop to carry the bow where as the mod-vp can hold itself up
The 200 case will have a thinner skeg though which may help.
Only one way to find out for sure :D
