Need to know if the T Class oval racing will be dock start for 2018. Last year at Peterborough we did a pace boat start, because no one was prepared for a dock start. The T-750 motors need a 24 volt system for dock starts. We would prefer a dock start, but need to know this soon, so as to incorporate the 24 volt start in our boats. The SST-45 tunnel boat classes that use our same engines, all have 24 volt for dock starts, since the 45 cid OMC motors are so touchy to start with 12 volts. Please let us know ASAP. Thanks.

I've been going to the OPBRA meetings and requesting dock starts.....OPBRA is on board. I think they make for a way better show! Peterborough is easy to do a beach start I'm not sure about the set up at Gravenhurst though. I think we could start right from one of the docks there. I would rig for a dock start. Besides, our pace starts need serious clean up!...me included! lol

Dock/Lemans starts we’re always used at the Dunnville race when it was held below the dam. Videos of those races are on YouTube .

So is that a yes on dock starts for T Class at the drag races? Again, we need to set up for dock starts with 24 volt system.

Awesome. Keep in mind the boat that earns pole position will be the pace boat and everyone will line up with that boat until the stationary barge flag drops. Day two will reverse order of day one pole positions.

Lol how do you get pole position?

IF everybody were to show up mid day Friday we could do time trials....doubt that would happen....probably draw from a hat!
