I am looking to have a crane at each race and a signed off weight "AFTER" you finish the race each day. That way we can ensure the class is legit. Dean is working hard on the Tech Requirements and will be released soon for all to make sure they are within Drag rules and requirements. As for new Lake Racer's this year or any questions for anyone wondering. Please feel free to call me at any time 905-924-2525. Some items to think about : - 24V up trim on a separate button wired through a third solenoid and done correctly (contact me if you have questions) - Add a cavitation plate. You can make one yourself or buy one. - Add a transom plane / skid plane - Think about adding a fuel cell. For our boat count an 8gal cell is more than adequate and even if your existing fuel tank is still mounted you'll most likely still save weight while protecting your motor from leaning out due to slosh. - Try some testing. It doesn't take much to get to know what works and what small adjustments do to getting ahead of your last time. - Remember that a drag race is about ET and not speed. If you can run 800' in 10seconds and run at 91moh but your "friend" can run 800' in 11.24seconds but at speeds of 100mph ..... good for him but you still win !!! It's all about acceleration and ET !!! Cheers |

Crane for Gravenhurst shouldn't be an issue. Steve Waite was happy to help out last year. I'll give him a shout. I've got a couple of contacts over in the Haliburton area I can reach out to as well if need be. |

I spoke a long time industry friend from All Canada Crane about this as well. Our friend from last year at Gravenhurst was amazing to us. I'd suggest an increase in $10-15 minimum each for the class at Gravenhurst to give to him plus any other perks we can throw in etc etc for him. A top notch guy that was a big help |

A weigh in for both Ghurst and Haliburton would be great! Would this apply to formula too? Thanks for the update. |

Depending on time we have after the race ends for Lake Racer but if the hook would be there then it could be used. A weigh-in after the race like it should be done will truly keep people honest and to the rules. |
