First message I have got in months asking about these early pre-1975 classes or pre- nitro and 650XS classes. You need to read the posts on this link below. There are posts showing the different class specs and records for those classes. You will notice that the minimum weight for the SE and SG classes is much lighter than FE and FG and the records are much faster for those classes. FE which is T850 class, weight was 735 lb......T850 is 725 lbs. The FG class was faster than the FE class back then, but that all changed in 1975 with the OMC 75 hp nitro case motors.....That killed FG class. To-day FG would be very strong.....to-day there are many 69.9 motors that are better than the 4 cylinder Mercury http://www.boatracingfacts.com/forums/s ... arys-(Ohio) |
