Thought I would introduce myself before I start annoying every one with my questions! My wife and I just bought our first boat, a 1987 Charger with a Merc Black Max 200 XR2 on it, and we are really excited to have it, and eager to learn! We've had the boat out twice so far, and for me its fast- The previous owner had it going 75 mph before I bought it, and I'm working up to that- lol. I've been around boats all my life, mostly fishing boats and bass boats. The closest thing to a high performance boat I've ever been around would be my old neighbours boat. He has a hot pink Cougar mod V tunnel with a bridgeport that ran around 100mph. Thanks for letting us join, and we look forward to learning and having good conversations with all of you!

Thanks!, Just doing a little work to it over the next day or two then I'll post some pics. I rebuilt the water pump today, changed the lower unit grease, and am putting new head gaskets and diverter gaskets in tomorrow and givin her a good buff with the polisher.

Welcome - What type of Charger did you buy?

Yes - they are cool. I'm one of MANY who have had, or still have them.

I've had 2 so far

Hi, and welcome to the site. I bought a 18 Charger SK a couple of months ago, and I'm still learning about it. I only have a 140 on it, but it's a great boat, compared to what I've been running. We can share the learning experience.

Bill
