so i picked up another bp block, the first one has a bridge in the exahst port, the one i just picked up has no bridge :? i was told its a carbureted mod vp block., what one will make the most hp on a light hull.

looks like you called it right as a mod vp, ive heard that the mod vps run real close with the bridgeports on light hulls. id have to guess the bridgeport would be faster because its what mercury upgraded to from the oval ports. any chance youve got the right head for my bridgeport? :)

oh crap sorry whats the part number? :oops:

i have a set of 99314 2 piece

2 sets of 96531 mod vp 2 piece

only 1 15221 1 piece head from the oval port

a set of 2.0l 1-8787-c2 1 piece

a set of 2.0l 16652 1 piece

the part numbers 15221-c1 so it should be the one from the oval port. the ones i have are one piece as well. i forgot to remind you so its not a big deal :lol:

i figure if i ever build this thing ill use a set of the 2 peice heads,, i only have 1 off the oval port.

How much would you be wanting for the head off the oval port? Trying to get the parts together to get it ready for the build this winter

I run tighter 18419-c1 heads on mine. 136-138psi on all 6. they are stock mercury fishing motor heads

I take it your running 91 octane mistah max? Im looking to keep it on 87 octane if possible to keep my running costs down. But from a thread I found on scream and fly, a one gallon gas tank is gone in 3 minutes at idle lol :lol:

the oval port head has 120 120 120 on them so i assume they will make around 120 psi :lol: ,,
