a carbon plate half the thickness of the 1st two wont break.

rick, once the transom gets back to 15" and i can mount the yamaha 4" off the transom it will be normal.

I've got a better idea...prototyping as I type this...

Well what the hell the theory is sound... My Stainless marine setback is water tight for the same reason, to add some buoyancy to the back. The leverage from having it that far back would make a huge difference. You could build a foil that was maybe 2" thick and hollow, that would allow it to function as a drag foil and add a little lift to the back when stopped. It could be useful to the guys who's rubrail is under water.

That is friggin' sweet Dok. I want a complete side by side compare with the G-bay hydrofoil compete with charts, graphs, and expert opinions. Then and only then will I make my choice on which to run. Right now I am leaning light weight.
