We must always remember that our races must have FAN appeal and entertain. By adding something new to the event keeps the event FRESH.
These Planes are becoming more and more popular.
Here is a video

There are several clubs that have several of these planes.
During brakes in our program, I think these planes will add to the show.

That's pretty neat! But for something that small to be operated close enough to a crowd to be entertaining, I'd wonder about safety. I was at gravenhurst this year, the sleds were cool, but they only went out once that I saw on Saturday. Made me think a couple of pro stand up jet skiers could put on a pretty good show during every break in racing action. Just my .02.

Although they did not come this year, in the past the planes were a big attraction at the gold cup.

The idea for PLANES is not an original one by me. Many boat races have planes as part of their program. My idea of using RC model planes is different. Not many people have seen these model jets and they are impressive. I think we could fit them into the event.

:) Where at Dunnville would you have room to accommodate jet powered model aircraft? For that matter, where is there room at Waterford, Gravenhurst, or Erinsville? I fly RC aircraft, so does Dave Elsey, and I think a runway of 600-800 ft minimum would be required.

How about a float plane that can take off and land on the water?

This idea fits nicely with my plans to erect carrier deck on Voodoo, to complement torpedoes off the back. I'm going BIG for DV.

Craig tries to make a submarine....now you want an aircraft carrier...

That maybe a better option. One of the jet planes I saw was the version of the British jet fighter and it took off with no runway. It would take off and land on a dock.

I am checking the clubs in the area. I also thought of having drones drop prizes to the crowd.
