Yeah I'm not worried about going too fast yet...70-80 would be just fine. I've done mid 60's in an old J years ago....that was fun. I've had the bug for a while now and this boat just happened to be where I was so the owner and I (and maybe one of you) will have a look in a few weeks.

That vector of yours will go high 80's with that power. You'll bee good for a bit.. Then you can call doktorC for some sweet yamaha perf parts and throw a cleaver on and mid 90's is right around the corner

Already on the lookout for a cleaver, it's too bad Rick sold his cleaver to Boomer just recently... Unless I could talk Boomer into selling it somehow... :)

What is the current setback on the boat? I didn't check, I'm guessing it's at the ideal setback right now? It'd be nice to have a hydraulic jackplate in the future, so I can plane the boat with ease, then just jack it up right after. Or I guess just add a drag plate... Much cheaper option LOL

You don't need a hyd jack on that. It's 6" setback. The boat planes well with the motor jacked. Your gonna want a 30 cleaver to go any faster than the 30 chopper that hoppy Prob sold you.
