The ice was still 2 feet thick on our lake today, but there are large open places. Probably by the end of the week it will be gone

The Pigeon, Buckhorn, Chemong chain of lakes is open, but still very low. I've seen a couple boats out now, but you would want to be extremely careful because of the low water. It's coming up by about 3" per day. At this rate it should be at "normal" levels by next weekend.
