;) You are going to force me to retire like you have just done. Need more time to build motors?

No the light Critchfield [the red one] is running an OMC.
It will have a different set up with the seat almost half way back in the boat.
Same as the British T boats.

The yamaha will run on Jim's 911 Critchfield.
My goal is not to win but be competitive with a number of different makes of motors.

Years ago when the 60DE motors raced in Japan they raced against the 2 cylinder Tohatsu and the 2 cylinder Suzuki.
The killer motor was the Suzuki.

There's a 60 hp for sale by my neck of the woods. $700 comes with boat and trailer but I'm pretty sure it's a long shaft.
Check it out on KIJIJI Cornwall.

Mike, I had a look at it. Yes, it is one of them. It is a long shaft but likely a 19 inch not a 20. It is a very similar power head. Perfect for a older VooDoo with the 24 inch transom. You would not need a jack plate. The motor fits right on the transom. The factory 70 or 90 hp Yamaha power trim also bolts right on. This is like the 55 hp we mounted on the Delta on 6 mile.

The 15 inch is rare. There are two options. One you can cut a long shaft down so it fits the short shaft steering assemble. The result is a 16 inch, DOC did that with his 70 yamaha. It works well. The second solution is to use the cut long mid with the lower section of a 40 or 50 yamaha 4 stroke. That makes a 15 inch. Top Gun made several 15 in 70 yamahas the same way.Only difference here is you use the 55/90 mid for the top section. Both solutions are likely less costly than getting an original.

Parts for the 2 cylinder Mariner are very hard to locate. The latest challenge is trying to locate the exhaust pipe. Most people think there is one style only. That being the large one piece unit' That is not true. There was one with a separate exhaust and out shell.
THIS ONE:

Here is the common one:

If you know of someone who has these parts PLEASE post on the thread.
THANKS

Great news to-day for T750!!
Seems a new T boat racer who was going to run T850 will be running T750 in 2016.
And he is NOT running an OMC!!!
Nor is it a Toaster!
Nor is it a Yamaha!
Nor is it a Mariner!
Nope not a 49 Mercury!
