It's going to happen.......Full size remote boats are current.....even Watercraft.

Driver less boats will be common and likely electric powered.

Your son or daughter will sit on the shore...remotely controlling your raceboat.
And it will all seem natural to them.
Later modern R2D2's will do everything and owners will sit and watch.

The boat with the superior artificial intelligence WINS!

Sad day if that happens. The real fun boating is being in the boat and enjoying the water. The fun boat racing is the thrill of going fast over water & the competition. I have radio controlled boats and planes, as well as drones. However, they will never replace actually piloting one. Just my take!
