Hey there we go !!!! Lee has made the offer. I'll donate my time to help rig it and be there for some test runs with you for set up, who knows right.
And .... don't get me wrong, I read all the time and it's mostly what we all can do. Some of it is good and some bad. ( read that Katey Perry was looking for an average Canadian to strip for ..... hhhhmmmmmm mmm)

If you guys want to settle this, theres allison ss comp r with a 15 in drag sitting in my yard. i have every prop know to man and you can take it to the bradford river and see how fast it will go!!!!!
I was going to put a XR4 on it , but didn't want to waste my time to go 75mph!!!

Let me see if I can track down the guy in Nova Scotia that I sold a 20" 280 too for his V21 and see if he'll join your little internet race. I'm pretty sure a V21 will outrun a Grandsport given the same power. The grandsport is big and heavy. Its a fast party boat that looks cool. I never ran anything more then a 26P on mine with both the 225 promax and the 280 shorty that Lee now has. Boat ran into the 90s loaded up and that was 1/2" below the pad. Very conservative set up. Lots left but I didn't buy a Grandsport to break any speed records.

I dropped the nose once hitting a boat wake a little sideways. Seemed to want to pull a bit to the right but it wasn't that big a deal. I think the hydraullic steering is a huge asset. This boats a rush to drive anywhere 80+. Inspite of what you read, they are not always on the edge and ready to hook. The boat gives signs way before it would happen. Anyone can drive it to 70-75mph.

Yammer, come buy my Grandsport and put my old motor back on it since Lee's giving it away, LOL

I don't drive much, but when i do it's to the rug!!! It's way slower then my rocket ( about 15 mph) with the same motor?
With 225 pm 30 et on the rev 6700rpm it 91.9mph on radar and now with drag it runs 105mph with 26 et 8400rpm. It doesn't like bigger props seems to go slower. The boat doe's not like to go 100mph it fall on it side at 99 mph and then you have to shake back up on the pad and then it goes.
The rocket went with the same power 121 mph 1.75 gear 28 tillman or 30 lab cleaver and i don't have lake to stretch out. It would cruise at 100mph 7000rpm and have two inch's of pedtal left. I like the alli, the boat it's fun to drive, but not very fast from all the other boats i owned . the xrs and i owned both types are way faster then the ss!!
And don't forget, i have owned every fast ob boat under 21 ft at least twice in my life .

Huh , strange. A drag should spin a 26 ET more then 8400 though ( on any boat ) , but it is what it is as its set up and powered.
.... and you're right about that hull not liking big wheels. I tried a 32 Merc Lab Cleaver and it would throw the boat everywhere. My Hydromotive T3X Comp 14.25 x 28'' was an amazing prop for that boat and the way it was set up when I had it with my mild mod Drag. Would spin that 28'' 9500 or so with 30cc heads and Seabold AMS ( over quite a long run though .....)

Very true about the boats you've owned thats for damn sure ;)

Once again can I have 1st rights to your SS-R ? hahaha
