Call Top Gun if you ask nice he might give you a deal.

HCD, maybe it's just me, when I read marketing/sales propaganda(same w all Brands) bt 2 types above, I'm challenged to distill down to specific differences, applications. Both are semi-synthetic, High performance, exceed OEM spec, blah, blah,...cheaper one has longer benefit bullet points. I can only discern expensive stuff is TC-W3 rated. Naturally, all Brands claim they're the best, ashless, smokefree, longer life, less wear, cheeks don't chafe/rash wearing chaps,...
Being Lucas product rep, differentiate briefly where each of 2 is best suited, eg: racing(ie: OMC/Y302) vs recreational(ie: 9.9-150+).
Help me understand which suits my different applications. Describe TC-W3 diff, aside from being industry rating, how does TC-W3 work differently in my engines. I don't want to be the expert, no fear of that here. Not knocking Lucas at all, help me buy YOUR product, vs Amsoil, Shell,...Judging from above thread most here are prepared to pay premium to avoid Bang/Boom.
Thx

The main difference is the Ash content Ash is both a lubricant and a carrier as well as a pollutant. Low ash no smoke semi syn 2 cycle oil is really best suited for Older marine and race motors, dirt bikes, snowmobiles, 2 cycle lawn and garden equipment ect...
The no ash Land and Sea burns very cleanly and has that NMMA rating required for watercraft and outboards. It could be used in the other applications but having no ash in my mind reduces its performance applications. Take a look at the power valves on any performance 2 cycle engine after using the low ash semi syn 2 cycle oil and they are clean. The lubrication and carrier qualities of ash keep it all clean in the engine but will make the exhaust dirty, so on newer outboard motors our governmental friend and factory's call for the TCW3

on any of your stuff i would go with the semi syn 2 cycle, unless it is a newer motor that asks for the TCW3 rating

As far as company comparisons amway oops i mean amsoil is a good product, the thing that most of the cheaper oils do is shop for there base oil, Lucas Oil is not the cheapest and will not be the cheapest our market is for those looking for a higher quality of oil for there engines.

Another thing to remember when buying any products is look around and see which companies are supporting your sports

yada yada

If anyone would like a more technical explanation let me know and i can contact California and see what i can get.
