Wasnt that a tree liter?
I know he finally cracked the 101 mark

I think it was a 3.0 but it was also on a 15" Taylor and had about 17 years of setup lol...and string steering...and, and, and....and still not as fast as yours...

Here is a great shot of perspective. Look at the size of the 2.5 compared to the Rhino behind it. Check out the Yammi in comparison to Rick in his boat.
Makes ya think...

Just because you think it should take 17 years to setup a boat does not make it true. some times you just have to get off your wallet and make it happen..

The way you and mitchie make it seem impossible to go fast unless you have put in the years of internet reading and setup "experience" you guys have from the last two boats you have had.... i'm no expert but.... its not that hard.... you guys were clearly going about it the wrong way.

I don't THINK it should take 17 years...but it does take more than 17 minutes.

If you got off your wallet you'd have a fast boat too...like Mitch and I.

I'd think twice about calling me out on boating experience....you've been in this game for what?? 24 months  ...I got my first voodoo 24 YEARS ago next month....which was around the time you were born wasn't it?

I dont think anyone has said that this is the magic combo on one of these boats. Definatly nobody on this thread. Iv been agreeing the whole time a little merc race mota is the magic combo. I would say that pats setup might be the pretty close to the perfect combination for speed.

This has gone from a debate on facts to a "yes it will, no it wont" argument.
The debate is on the possibiltity of speed with what has been put forth.

The big case. NO QUESTION is way slower than that of a small one. but it has been proven to be able to go over 100 so why on this boat would it be "impossible"

big case has less drag on a bigger boat seems like something you guys came up with at 1am bablling about those damn 15' boats

And 15' boat? Is this because they made a nose cut off model at 15?

everything in this recipe equals undrivable sheer terror speed(within the limits of the lower).

Its just SIMPLE.

I'd say build it how you feel you want and it's a challenge for sure. Some of the best things in our past are from people doing what "they" think and not what others tell them. Either way you'll gain some REAL FACTS.

Cut the shit and stop typing and start building.

Jeff its in my shop right now getting built...3bp's can walk and chew bubblegum at the same time :). Putting a 3L on a viking is NOT new territory and the REAL FACTS are out there. It's getting built with a 3.1L no matter what anyone (including me...the guy who will likely have to clean up the pieces...again  ) says on the interweb. The main debate seems to be that some feel that this is the magic combo to go 100+ in a 15' boat...others feel that a smaller engine might be the ticket for all out speed. Even you chose a 2.6 for your Vking...

If a boat can be setup in 17 minutes and it works. why not? has been done.

You guys are only going 15' boat speeds.... sub par for your 18' boats :P

You're not even involved in this...get back to painting! Leave the debating to me and James...we're better at it.
