your going to have to teach H how to swap lowers so dad can relax on the dock after blowing a case apart a 110....

I think it might be a roll reversal...H will be helping dad change his shorts if he blows the case apart at 110!

You mean FIND his shorts...I don't think that would be a great experience given my reaction to blowing out at 82mph lol..

See...if you can do a 200 case with a Bob's cone (or whatever) than a 2.6L case would work just as well. It's probably not as tough as the sporty guts but I've got lots of spares lol.[/quote]

My thing would be the 200 yammy case guts grenading and losing your prop and everything.... Where I personally think that the 200 case with sporty guts is 10 times less likely to do this. My understanding it the the bearing carrier is the number one weak point.. Sporty's are big and fat and slow.. atleast on my boat. I gained 3 or 4mph and improved handling big time switching to the 200 case... The ONLY thing I like about sportys the lack of maintenance and the looks. The steering torque was retarded with the sporty as well.

my 2cents.. based on real life experience. 8-)

Well then it's obviously time for a Cole Racing billet carrier lol.

Hopefully the HPDI case just works and we won't have to worry about it. We can actually upgrade our carriers to SHO carriers which have a third bearing to help support the prop shaft....

Nice work Dok. That kind of stuff is nerve wracking - for sure.
Thought I was going to have a heart attack when drilling for my Bob's LWP install.
(thanks for your help on that BTW)

The first hole is always the toughest!

That's exactly right...I looked at that case all winter and didn't touch it. Once I started drilling it was no problem...but getting started was tough lol.
