Great ACBS pictures of various categories taken by Lynda Chan, a local photography enthusiast:

Looks like a great show. I really wish I could have made it :(
From everything I've heard it really was a once in a lifetime ordeal.
A 'Huge' congratulations to everyone that worked to make this happen.

It says so on my new hat, and it was.
Awesome Day.

Excellent pictures. The only thing missing is THE SOUND!!!!

Hey Hydroid - did you lose your smile or was that part of the Lifeline advertising ploy? "Look mean, you'll scare the competition away."

What a great day with a vast variety of boats.

Go revisit link at top, a 2nd gallery of pics posted for viewing.
ACBS will use some of these pics for a comemorative book they're putting together.

Gotta love the Apache banner boat.... Who thought Kramer's ride would end up with an ON registration? AWESOME!

Great pics.

Spent the day at turns 3&4, chasing the would be racers, even when the police spoke to them, they still wanted to go in the harbour. But the setup was great and considering that 99% of us had never worked this type of event, everything went every well.
Hats off to Erik and Scott for their efforts to put this show on, without them and their assistances it wouldn't have happened.

Remember that Rideau Ferry will happen soon, they are looking for participants and watchers.

The reason that Hydriod has that expression Is because someone is trying to ask him a question that they have the answer for. His main problem of the day, follow the schedule.
That's my story and sticking to it!!!!!!!!

Al

I wonder why she didn't get any pictures of the F1 boat.
Oh ya!! It was going to fast!!!
Who was that anyway?
It was VERY impressive the way that thing cornered.

The USF1 driver was Brian Venton, Don Jenkinson Race Team, a class act out of Durham Region, Ont.
Read Link: http://www.usf1powerboat.com/f1prop/f1news/02202013.php

Having heard of ACBS event theme they registered one week prior, not knowing if or where they would be placed on the schedule or how many laps.
Brian insisted he would drive whenever he'd get slotted in, as long as he could contribute to the program. In the morning he was thrown in with other boats and did so without question.
During Exec meeting @ lunch, we gave him 6-7 laps on his own for the afternoon to go for it.... And he did.
Can't say enough about his professionalism, and rest of his team. On time, ready, no complaints, a contributor. This is the spirit the amateurs should emulate.

Brian will be racing at Valleyfield this weekend. Visit his fbk site, thank him for coming to ACBS, and wish him luck.
