Like Jeff says don't rule yourself out yet Jay ... Your boat is real fast ... Sooo with the added compression and the SVS your planning stakes... Good reaction times... You should be able to put quite a few fast 2.5's on the trailer. Lucky is a big thing too lol...
"Go Team Canada". :D

Well Guys I am out for Jasper ..... Spoke to Mike Clemmons and they only class I could legaly run is Pro Gas... and considering that my setup is stock and I got my ass handed to me in lake racer last year there is no point. Not to mention that the boat would need to weigh 1940lbs..... I don't know how I could add 340lbs extra.

This sucks I was super excited

Glad you spoke to Mike. . . not happy they won't make adjustments to SS rules for a 300PM or X. Doesn't make sense to me.
You can also run in Lake Racer w/Modified Production weights at 1710lbs ( as long as all parts in the motor are production based ) . Modified Production at 1450lbs but get destroyed in that for sure. Pro Gas at 1425lbs and get even more destroyed. Etc etc.

can't run mod production becasue I have a tuner......

Its pretty dumb considering how close Ted and I run and under these rules he would get a 600lb weight advantage..... something is wrong here

even at 1710lbs I have to add 110lbs while ted gets to weigh 1390 thats a 320lb weight differance....I would get stommped even harder then last yr. Without outlaw bass and ski the cost to go get stomped even worse doesn't make sense.

Sorry to hear this. Do you guys know anybody who goes to the annual rules meeting who could bring up this issue ?
Just thinking out loud - there might be other people in the same situation.

Matt

But that's not completely true as a statement because as your motor is now you'd get stomped as you think but ...... compression makes up for a huge amount of weight and as the rules state you'd run 1710lbs to race Lake Racer but your modifications are endless as long as you are using production based parts. So that's porting , tight as you want heads ... Etc etc. Ted MUST remain as stock as stock can be under Super Stock rules.
Last time I spoke to Shane he said not one single person has asked to run a 3.0 in Super Stock so if I had your combo that's the route I'd be taking. As rules go in every form of Motorsports we all have to either build to suit what we want to race class-wise or conform to what is out their. You're beating yourself before trying your high compression heads and or anything else you are bolting on. A motor with 135psi of cranking compression in comparison to one with 200psi is no comparison at all and compression is torque with a 2-Stroke based platform.
If you have to run 1710lbs in Lake Racer but have no real rules other then production parts then use that to your advantage and you'll find that the weight is actually fair. If you're looking to run a stock motor then speak to ODBA and ask for a conference call to make a weight rule for a Super Stock 300ProMax type motor but you will be allowed ZERO mods.
It takes the people with the certain combinations to get ODBA to make adjustments.

Bass and Ski was a great class for sure and that was great for your set-up as it didn't allow for the length of track for a high winding small cube motor to catch the torque you can pull out of the hole with your 3.0L
Not sure why it was dropped as there were quite a lot of entries last year. 12+ I think right ?

Problem is you don't have a stock STOCK motor to be able to run Super Stock and not enough of a motor to run anything else and be competitive.

It's not that hard to get your concerns or voice heard. All you have to do is make sure it's with the proper ODBA people. A 280 w/280 electronics is a slug vs a 280 w/260 style electronics and that's why stock stock gets a weight break. Hell Ted is the only guy running that combo.
