I bet there are not many of these around to-day. In 1967 to 1969 Chevy made a special motor
for their Camaro, a 302 cubic inch Trans Am engine under rated at 295 horsepower. Good for
a race car but not so good as a street racer. Not enough torque. In 1970 it became the LT1 350 cubic inch
motor 370 hp [still under rated] that was much better. We street racers knew there was a better option.
Chevy also made a small block 400 cubic inch motor. You could dress it up to look the same as a 302
and you could put the solid lifter cam in it so it would sound the same as a 302.
Unlike the 302, this motor had lots of torque for street racing and was quicker.

The last one I built was in 1984 and I still have it. NEVER FIRED.
400 cubic inch small block chev
Forged aluminum pistons
302 aluminum intake
Solid lifter cam
New holley [1984] carb
327/ 375 hp fuelie heads.

I can get the motor out in the spring.
If you’re interested let me know.
Once you see it, we can talk price.
I may just part it out.

I know of him, but have never spoke to him. As for my age...IT IS NOT THE YEARS...ITS THE MILEAGE!
I still consider myself young. My last girlfriend was 29 and I dumped her.

I am happly married. My wife is happy..I'm married!

We're getting off topic here. That's fine with me.

Remember the best mates to have are half your age plus seven years.
I have many remarried friends and common law relationship friends.. Oddly eventhough it is TRUE.
I have male friends with much younger women and I have female freinds with much younger men.
In every case it is about money, security and being allowed freedom in the relationship.
This math obviously does not work when your young. But if your in the 50 plus age, it does work.

Hi Hounddog
I would be intrested in this we used to take the crank out of the 400's and put them in bored out 350's change the pistons to 327 pistons so the skirts didn't hit the throws on the crank and you had a 383 stroker. Do you have double bump heads on it? Do you know the compression? Cam specs? I am about to get started on rebuilding my car I have had sitting for to long I do have a 383 stroker for it but it is nice to have some options or a spare in case something blows up.
