I Know RIGHT!!!! They wanted to pit a 300 on it before he met me. So Ronny had to drill a ton of material out of it after I got the 280 for it. I only saw the boat upside down in the shop this winter, It was a quick peak and I thought it was a V-king. The customer had a brand new 81 bruiser with a 225 on it that he bought from Mason Marine in Ottawa/Portland in 1981. This one is blue printed and I weighed everything as I installed it so I have the back pretty close to balanced between fuel, trim pump, battery and fuel delivery and it even has a ski bar - LOLOLOLOL.

Yes I thought about that after, Paul put the ROS box on it as well so probably will swap tach and speedo. 1/4" on the shifter in throttle only hit 6k on the tach no load. :D

1:87 I am pretty sure.

With that prop I don't see 200mph being out of the question
The boat will likely be easier to learn with something a little smaller like a 28et but I'm sure he'll be fine.
I ran a 34" 4-blade cleaver on a V-king and it didn't do anything too weird. It paddle wheeled a lot and was a little twitchy letting out but nothing crazy.
VERY VERY VERY cool boat!!!

Simply gorgeous! I would have one exactly like that if funds permitted. Going to turn heads. Ya gotta get some vid's on the lake.

thanks, BigGull, I plan on it, I will have the Virage done soon, so I plan on being a chase boat with the camera while we test the props on his lake. Something else in the works that is a BIG deal soon to be on the surface, it is a BIG announcement can't say much yet, but pretty soon. I am very pumped about it as well as others in the know. I will spill the beans as soon as I can. If it all comes together look for something BIG at the 2015 TO boat show. There will be press releases.

rgds,

Dave
