LOL Been there, dual cable steering is such a rip off to buy new now , unless you can find a good used setup I would go hydrallic and get it done for good.

I have a complete dual rack ride guide that works fine, i'll be pulling out of my AE21, just don't have the motor tubes and linkages gave them to a buddy, but have helm, racks and cables, with an antique quicksilver plastic wheel

And just like that a few years go by lol... Well I'm back at it again. Bought a bridgeport cowl, tore the motor down, ordered all my gaskets and new reeds. Cleaned, wet sanded and painted the mid and cowl, ready for re-assembly and rigging. Going to mount the mid and powerhead tomorrow, should motivate me to finish it! Will be filling in the dash and going centre steer before I hit the water. Might not be pretty this year, but we have a race in 2 weeks I hope to be ready for!

If you do you go center steer don’t fill-in the other hole because you may want to go back… I tried it like it but my passengers prefer the front seat ... I am going back to the side by side front seating

Well it's been almost a year, been picking away at the boat. It is now centre steer with dual opposed ride guide, single Murph seat (for now, I have the other one to be mounted in tandem), motor is together and wired, dash holes have all been filled, I built a hotfoot mount with integrated dead pedal and battery mount, fuel tank mounting pad has been installed. Vst and oil pump delete, I have RFCB's old Weldon fuel pump ready to install with AN lines and fittings to the motor. Found a 2 hole CLE lower, block sanded it and getting it ready to repaint. Bridgeport pan installed, cowl in the body shop at work getting painted. Another solid day or 2 of work and it should be all back together! Sorry no pics, since that hosting site started charging I haven't found another way. Pics on Facebook though.
