In anticipation of a kick-ass season, I finished with some West Sys. epoxy
work on a few of the rear strakes. Managed to keep the lines straight and
sharp after a light sanding. Applying the finish coats tonite. We're ramping
it up now. Found a 26 Raker in fact too. I'll get some pics.

:D

Runs solid Wildcatt with the 24p Raker. Jack plate needs some
hydraulic attention on the fittings. But we'll get it dialed in this summer
with some testing. :D

**The hull is new to me only a month ago. I'm from the checkmate exciter crowd.

I'd like some counter intel on OMC torque vs MERC revzilla experiences as a new mill
will be coming within a few years.

Looks a lot like Murph's charger, he's running a 200 Merc efi similar to mine. His is a full core boat too, custom interior and windshield, it's pretty nice. Good to see another!!

Where do we go from here guys as a baseline. Pad is 21.25" from ground.
Cav plate is 25.5" from the ground. 26P raker is on. Assuming 15psi holds
on the gauge, what limit do i have.

Is the Raker prop ok to just surface or no?

Looking fwd to hearing you pro's chime in. :D

BEERS, BBQ, BIKINIS.

You need to measure the difference between the prop shaft and the pad. Not the Cav plate.
It looks to be about 5-6" below. I found the prop shaft running about 1.5" below the pad to be good.
That means you need to come up about 3.5 - 4"
This only a ruff guestimate - you will need to experiment with Prop, water pressure, boat weight balance, RPMs, Speed (use a GPS of some kind - water pickup speedo are not accurate and will send you on a wild goose chase. Use the same one always) and then engine height.
Lot's of factors to consider and adjust. It took me 2 years of playing around to find the sweet spots. Not to mention seat time to learn the boat and how it runs.

Not sure about the Raker and and surfacing. Others could comment. The go to prop for the DL's are a Chopper. Although - not the only option. I ran Rick's old 28 Chopper with good results. With a 225.

Here is a couple shots of the "ol' Girl"
