Ted can take the most or least technical conversation and truly fuck it up. Every single time. . . check the history or his posts.
Wanker :)

I got the entire message but then again i'm old enough

Still laughing, but the bottom line is that Ted's post does make sense.

I can't remember where i posted the logistics of weighing boats for this class, maybe was just a conversation. Could be done at Gravenhurst event and let the rest or newcomers run in Haliburton.

We all know who is fast in all classes so measures would have to be taken with weight in the following season.

The main goal of drag racing is to level the playing field no matter what the class. This one is the toughest in my opinion since most boats are ski, lake, and even purpose built boats that fit the class.

Haliburton was a great turnout with lots of unknown entries showing up. We should be encouraging this without penalty until they are hooked lol. All good thoughts for the meeting and i would love to see some representation from you guy's running in this class attend.

My contribution to all of this will be establishing a database of all entries in all classes.

First and foremost will be safety with minimum requirements met by all racers. Yes, i will be inspecting your boat and will have updated sheets prepared and ready. These rules and requirements i will be inspecting will be posted before the next season starts.

Secondly, all weight added to any boat will be recorded and strictly adhered to for all of you if required. Equality makes for fantastic racing.

Thirdly, we are all here to promote a common goal and not to make things difficult, just equal.

Hear hear! I agree Dean. First race weigh-ins for regular racers and let the few one timers come and play when they do. For us guys that plan on racing every event - level us out. I wouldn't feel bad being beaten by a boat that comes out for one day a season... But once they start showing up on Sunday's get em in the game.

All point from everyone are all the same position most of us all take which is perfect.

We have to do something with the King of the Class and I think a weight amendment for the boat & driver that has won every pass since it hit the water is a fair thing to do. Let's remember that this boat has basically had the key turned a few times a year for its entire life. The motor is being freshened up so that right there will make it even quicker. Now this weight adder is only if Greg is the one racing this boat. If there is a different Keeling running the boat the weight adder should not apply (unless that driver comes out and smokes the class just as if it were Greg at the wheel ;)
The three race day win weight adder will be determined when and if we get there.

Now these are just my thoughts gents so we need a yes or no on this or a modified version of these.

Now in saying all of this if we get to Haliburton and the majority of the passes and round wins are within a boat length then we have reached our goal of close competitive racing and we do nothing. That is the best thing that can happen. Driver error will still cause a win by many boat lengths yes and that is fine because we will know the average of how a certain boat combo normally runs.
If new people show up at a race with no scale then Dean , myself and the entire group of FORMULA racers can asses the boat and decide.

Let us know ;)

Thank you Greg. If it is too much then it will be adjusted right away !!

Greg has a great performing FORMULA boat but we cannot kill his competitiveness here everyone. There are a few things everyone can do that will make your boats quicker without changing a single thing for your use on the lake. I'll be posting those things in an upcoming post.

Greg (and family) have done bucket loads for this sport up here and this will always be a reason we have made it this far. This will be great for the class and parity in it.
