well I can get the quicksilver premium plus easy enough, £40 for 4 litres ($80 dollars Canadian ).
I will be needing oil very soon and just wanting to get whatever is the best within reason.
here is prices for what I can get.
Quicksilver premium plus £40 .. 4 Litre
evinrude xd50 around £41 for 3.8 litres (1 us gallon)
Rock Oil MP3 Ultra Direct Fuel Injection 2T £29.99 for 4 litres
MOTUL OUTBOARD TECH 2T TWO STROKE £38.50 ...5 litres.

that's about all I can get apart from real cheap crapy stuff.

as you can see oil is very expensive over here.
.

not too sure about the amsoil dominator as there own site says not for use as a tcw3 oil ????..
it says only to use that for racing and engine that come apart a lot for inspection, we dont get that over here anyway so dont affect me, but thought its weird to put that on their site .

pre mix oil i think it has a different viscosity vs regular injection oil and higher flashpoint and runs off metal parts. its not as sticky..

something like that makes it good for racing not so good for fishing..

well after seeing what you guys use and looking around over here for oils I think ill just get the quicksilver premium plus and
also a can of Seafoam. that is bloody expensive , but if it works and cleans just a bit out its worth it.
give it a shock dose on the pistons and put some in the tank too for semi clean out once its running.
I have no idea if the rings on the motor have any carbon behind them etc, so cant hurt to give it a bit of a clean before out on the water.

ive used mercury powertune before on other engines and got pretty good results with it, seemed it picked up a bit of
top end and idled better.
but it seems that lots of people prefer Seafoam so ill try that next.

while on this subject , do you guys use the endoscopes to look at the pistons and bores ?

I have always used a ester/ synthetic blend for steel bore motors and full synthetic oil for nicosil or crome bore motors.
