I Have not voted yet... :D , but i have a question, everyone that Votes Dock start is planning on coming with two guys min per crew right? the 750 guys flag/ safety boats for the 850, and 850 for the 750, so they cannot help each other out holding boats at the dock. My 750 crew ran flags for both 750 and 850, so if i dock start id just float around with no one holding me perhaps if float cross ways infront of everyone else
Moral of story everyone would need alot more help to dock start

We are gonna get Keeling to hold our boats...i figure that should get us an extra couple of lengths right from the start by the time he wades out

OK it's almost a done deal. We will use a dock start at all OPBRA races from either a dock, or if not available as in Peterborough, from shallow water.

We will allow some additional T boat drivers in both 750 & 850, to respond by Feb. 15th. If the count has not changed by then, then the dock start is final.

That's my exact concern. I'm like Paul...I don't really give a fuck either way because I just wanna race...but...the added level of bs gives me stress lol. If only I had loser friends that didn't race boats.

There were over 40 drag entries at PTBO.
That’s drivers plus crew......easily 100 able bodies.
There won’t be an issue for T guys to have hands on deck for dock starts.
Fear not boys.
We got got your backs......or sterns as the case may be.

Edit:
Not quite 40.....but close......
There’s still lots of help to hold you for dock starts....

If dock starts is how this ends up, T-Class and OPBRA will work out a way to do it safely.
We are looking at three events this year.
The first two will be determined once confirmed.

Peterborough has the T wharf at the south end of the lake. We had planned to use that for T starts but it went to using a pace boat.
There is also shallow water at the concrete pier by the marina that could be used.
Both offer GREAT spectator views of the start!!

You guys decide and we will work out the details together.

Can't wait for the season to start!!

Brent those locations would work great....the last Peterborough race in 92' started on the beach right in front of the crowd....it was awesome because race fans were 50' away from the blast of noise and water!....just some input...whatever works for safety and insurance.
