So since all of this talk of top end numbers I'm wondering if there's any true interest in a closed course Top Speed Challenge / Kilo event ?

Interest from TORC / CBF as well as boat owners.
Let's say from 9.9hp all the way up to an Unlimited class of OB

Just a thought

..... just a little SBF at 8.39

I don't see CBF or TORC having any part of that. INSURANCE

I say we just hit the Bradford river and let TG radar the boats

It's worth a try though. If they do then great. No need to put a negative slide on it right away. They may just want to as there are a lot of Kilo Records that APBA have that are very outdated. CBF falls under APBA ( I think .. ) so who knows

I'd love to but I'll be making a trip up your way soon for rebuild stuff. No boat as well haha.
And Teds is done for this year after Jasper now. Time for re-nic and freshen up. Got 85 hrs on it

Sorry, I am not trying to sound negative.
I would love for something like that to happen.
I just know from the meetings that TORC has a ton on their plate. It takes more time and volenteers to maintain what we have going on then are currently involved.

All that and going fast into a radar is free

Very true. . Who knows

I'd love to come up this weekend if anyone is gonna run ? Not sure who would though. I can post it on FBC as a TopGun sponsored event. ;) I'm not banned as of yet

Cool Idea...I am pretty sure all Kilo Runs are set per UIM which will govern APBA and CBF...if you recall back in 1996 Jaco Marine along will Allison and Merc|Mariner set up a special event to establish Bass Boat Kilos. If you had enough support ...this could also be a special event.

a radar run would be cool... we can get real numbers instead of crazy claims of v21's going 103..

Kilo runs have been tried several times in the last 10 years... there does not seem to be enough interest to make it work out $$ wise. Doug Overbury has tried several times. I'd be down for 4-5 classes if the entry fee was reasonable. With Drag on board now, maybe that would change things. Doug is the man if people are interested.

Insurance is not a problem.
