Hey...most of those motors will be providing fun to the boating public long before you and Jamescole are having wheelie contests...

Brotherly love. It brings a tear to my eye. Dang it, I promised myself I wouldn't cry. I am expecting this to deteriorate into harsher words as it would between Mitch and I - LOL!

Totally cool project. Looking forward to seeing this come together as well as some potential in person progress when I am up.

I think velocity hulls are rare up here! I have only worked on one and it had a pair of 3.4's on it! Not even sure if it was a 30 maybe 27-28! It has been about 25 yrs. but I recall it running low 70's! does anybody know if the Can. seawolf was a velocity splash? I heard they were very heavy!

Are you telling me ... Dok mixed the corebond with his dick?
If so... Thats pretty cool. lol.

Dougw can answer your seawolf questions... My understanding was that they were a Scarab splash.

After stripping paint out of interests sake (to see if i could find any indication of the boat it used to be) i finally stumbled upon the name.

Thanks to the Classic offshore guys over at OSO it only took a few hours before i knew and could see the original "Chase"

To say I'm excited about this is a bit of an understatement lol. This has brought the project to a whole new level for me.

Now...do you go back to the original paint (or a slightly modernized version) or forget the whole thing and go straight up white?

This is cooler than a polar bear's toenails!

What an awesome twist! I am guessing the OSO guys were excited to learn of it too. My vote is for some form of the original. If you like the white just add the graphics over white. Killer!

My old 28' Seawolf was HEAVY. It was a flip of the early 80's Scarab hull. I never weighed just the bare hull - but it weighed 8500 pounds rigged without fuel on the trailer...say take off 2000-2500 for the trailer and 1500-2000 pounds for motors and rigging and interior...so hull would have been around 4500 pounds. It would hit 70 with the twin 300 Johnson V8's. I would be curious to see how much your hull weighs for a comparison. I believe the Tuff 28 runs 90 with twin 250's - so 80+ sounds like a reasonable number if you are in the 3000-3500 pound range.

Very Cool project
